GE’s Visualizing Health, implemented by Interference/Supertouch, is an interactive multi-touch application that allows you to take an in depth look at the relationship between health risk factors and common conditions by state. The application was built for multi-touch interaction and adapted for use on the web. Visualizing Health debuted at TEDMED 2010.
This application involved gathering health-based data-sets and populating information to create visual representations of the results. I was involved in the data management and pulling, graphic design and visualizations, as well as the programming implementations. This application was designed and created using Actionscript 3 and the Flash environment.
This application can currently be viewed on the GE website: http://visualization.geblogs.com/visualization/tedmed/
